The wording on the foundation's own homepage is in capitals: tickets.jardinmajorelle.com is the only official website where you can buy a ticket and receive a valid QR code for the garden, the Berber collection and the fashion museum. It goes on to say that it accepts no responsibility for tickets sold on any non-authorised website, and that those tickets will not give access to the garden or the museums. The same paragraph appears on the museum's site.

It is repeated because it is a live problem.

How to tell a lookalike from the shop

It is easy to see how people get caught. Searching for this ticket returns at least one domain that is the official address with the dots taken out, and it is a reseller rather than the foundation. Two details give it away, and both are checkable without buying anything: its FAQ says the garden is open daily until 17:30, when the foundation publishes 18:30 with last entry at 18:00, and it states that the fashion museum is fully accessible with ramps and lifts, a claim the museum itself publishes nowhere at all.

A page that is wrong about the closing time is not the page selling you the slot.

Three checks take ten seconds. The address bar reads tickets.jardinmajorelle.com, with the dot before the word tickets. The price you are asked for is a dirham figure that matches the grid above, not a euro or dollar figure invented for the market.

And the confirmation is a nominative ticket in the name you typed, tied to a date and a time slot. A legitimate platform such as GetYourGuide never pretends to be the foundation: it prices in your own currency, states the day-before email delivery in its listing, and is dearer, which is the honest signal that a middleman is present.

Bought on its own, the Berber collection is priced like the fashion museum, at 140 MAD. Bought with the garden, it adds 60. That gap is not a discount scheme, it is how the foundation prices a museum you can only reach by walking through a garden you have already paid for.

The consequence for a visitor is simple and slightly counter-intuitive: adding museums to a garden ticket is cheap, and adding a garden to a museum ticket is not.

So the decision is really binary. If the studio and the couture mean nothing to you, buy the garden at 170 and spend the difference on lunch in Gueliz. If either museum appeals, take the three-site code, because 20 dirhams is less than a mint tea and it removes the risk of standing at a museum door with the wrong ticket.

What we would not buy is the two-site code, which is the price of two singles with the flexibility of neither, and what nobody should buy is the both-museums-without-the-garden combination the endpoint prices at 310 when the two museums singly are 280.

• Online only. The foundation states that tickets can only be purchased online. There is no window at the gate to fall back on, so a walk-up with cash is not a plan.
• Nominative. The ticket carries the name you type, so book in the name of the person who will present it, and expect the QR rather than a paper voucher.
• Timed. You choose a slot, and the slot is what the gate scans against. Slots in the middle of the morning fill first, which is the practical reason the 08:00 and late-afternoon entries are still available closer to the date.
• Capped at fifteen. An individual reservation takes a maximum of fifteen people and a professional reservation fifty, so a family group above fifteen has to be split into two bookings, and no group rate is published below that number.
• Combination chosen in the form. The sites are checkboxes, not separate products, which is exactly why so many visitors arrive holding the garden ticket alone.
• No refund policy published. The foundation states no cancellation or refund terms for its own tickets. That silence is the one real advantage the platform cards have, since they carry a stated free-cancellation window.

Two practical notes on money. The fares are set in dirhams and the dirham cannot be bought in useful quantities before you arrive, which is why prices on this site are shown dollar-first with the dirham in brackets: the dollar is what you compare with, the dirham is what the transaction is denominated in. And because everything here is prepaid online, this is one Marrakech ticket where you do not need cash at the door at all, unlike the medina monuments, where the window is the only seller.

On the day: yes, in the sense that the shop is open on the day and slots that remain can be bought from a phone standing outside the gate. No, in the sense that there is no counter selling anything to anyone. The distinction matters because it is the difference between a five-minute delay and a wasted taxi.

If you are improvising a morning, open the shop before you leave your riad rather than at the corner of Rue Yves Saint Laurent, where the network is unreliable and the queue you are standing in is for scanning, not selling.

What the visitor numbers imply

Sold out: the foundation publishes no capacity figure and no sell-out notice, so nobody can honestly print a probability. What is on the record is the pressure. Wikipedia records more than 700,000 visitors a year for the garden and the Fondation Pierre Berge chronicle puts it nearer 800,000, which on an even spread is roughly two thousand people a day through one gate into one hectare.

Against that, entry is timed and capacity is finite, so treat a specific slot on a specific spring or autumn morning as something to secure rather than to assume. Booking two or three days out has been enough in our reading of the calendar; the same-morning slot in the middle of the day is the one that disappears.

One more closure to check before booking: the Berber collection takes an annual week to rotate its displayed objects and textiles, which fell from 7 to 13 July in 2025, and the equivalent 2026 or 2027 dates are not published. If your code includes the studio and your visit is in July, read the foundation's calendar page before paying rather than after.

Free admission goes to children under ten, accompanied and with proof of age, to ICOM members, to press by request 72 hours in advance, and to visitors with a disability. The English pages say a card attesting to a disability. The French pages of the same site say a carte d'invalidite en cours de validite, a formal and currently valid disability card.

Those are not the same requirement, and since the fare being waived is up to 170 MAD, anyone travelling on the strength of it should carry the formal document rather than a letter.

The reduced bands need documents too. Moroccan citizens and foreign residents in Morocco pay the resident fare on presentation of a Moroccan identity card or a residency card. National students and children from ten pay the lowest published band with a Moroccan identity card and a student card.

International students and children from ten pay the international student band on presentation of a valid student card. A child of ten therefore stops being free and starts paying 95 MAD for the garden as an international visitor, which is a real jump to plan for on a family morning.

One accessibility note that belongs with the money rather than the architecture, because it is the only published rule of its kind at any Marrakech venue: the foundation states that pushchairs are not allowed inside the Boutique. It publishes that the garden, the Cafe Majorelle, the Boutique and the Berber collection are each wheelchair accessible, and publishes nothing at all for the fashion museum, whose full sitemap contains no accessibility wording in any language.

The garden runs longest and the Berber collection shuts first, so a late-afternoon slot on a three-site code quietly becomes a two-site visit. Work backwards from the earliest closing thing your ticket opens.

Two consequences. A Wednesday code should never include the fashion museum, because the garden and the studio are the only two things open, and a three-site ticket bought for a Wednesday wastes 140 dirhams of itself. And the fashion museum's own website contradicts itself on the closing time, giving 18:30 on its homepage and the ticket office and 18:00 on its practical information page, which is set out in full on its own page.

Plan against the earlier figure and the discrepancy costs you nothing.

• No refund or cancellation terms. The foundation states none for its own tickets, which is why the platform cards' free-cancellation windows are their strongest argument.
• No grace period for a late slot. Entry is timed and nothing is published about arriving after your window, so treat the slot as fixed rather than indicative.
• No price for the Villa Oasis private garden. The tariff endpoint returned seven combinations in Q3 2026 and the private garden is in none of them, although its hours are published and it is sold as a separate timed ticket.
• No prices for the Cafe Majorelle or the Boutique. Neither publishes a menu or a price list, so no figure for a mint tea appears anywhere on this site.
• No visitor cap, and no sell-out notice. Capacity is finite and entry is timed, but the foundation publishes neither number, so any confident claim that a date is sold out is somebody's guess.

None of this is a complaint about a foundation that prints its combinations plainly and runs the clearest ticketing operation in the city. Four separate authorities price the tickets in Marrakech and this is the only one with a live tariff endpoint you can query, which is exactly why every figure on this page can be dated.
